utility plans

Drawings or works in another medium, often made by an engineer, that indicate the location of utilities, including water supply lines, fire hydrants, sewage disposal lines, and other utilities typically located in the road right-of-way. As part of the construction process, these plans are generally required for submission to local authorities such as public works departments, public health boards, fire departments, pollution control regulators, etc.
