Linwood Wilkes Campbell (1911-2001) was a lifelong resident of Pioche, Nevada, and the town’s Postmaster. He was first appointed to this position in 1935. His parents were Wilkes James Campbell (1877-1928) and Mary Ellen (Heaps) Campbell (1886-1979). He was married to Erma (Crook) Campbell (1921-2015) from Utah, on December 14, 1940. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they were sealed in the St. George Utah Temple. He served in World War II, and his wife served as acting postmaster during his absence. They had four children: Linda, David, Deryl, Allen, and Roger.
On July 12, 1981, Linwood W. Campbell donated old family photographs and images of Pioche to UNLV Special Collections & Archives, as part of the Campbell Family Photograph Collection.
