James W. Azar is a public administrator and longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. He donated the manuscript collection Las Vegas-Clark County Consolidation Records (1976-1989) that consists of newspaper articles, interviews, and legislative records relating to the effort to consolidate the City of Las Vegas and Clark County governments in 1977. These materials were donated to UNLV Special Collections & Archives by Azar following his research for a professional paper in Public Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, "Blurred Boundaries and Business Licensing," which he completed in 1993.
