Otto Ravenholt was the chief health officer and coroner for Clark County, Nevada. He was born on May 17, 1927 in Luck, Wisconsin. He accepted the role as Clark County's first chief health officer in 1963, when he arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada to approve the construction of a new health center. Ravenholt then served as the Medical Director of Clark County Emergency Medical System and served as a coroner for twenty-six years. When he retired in 1997, the Clark County government named the Otto Raveholt Public Health Center in his honor. He died on March 18, 2012.
