"GILBERT YARCHEVER Gilbert B. Yarchever, age 91, of Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010. Gilbert was born Dec. 16, 1918, in Pittsburgh. Gilbert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was awarded the Civilian Meritorious Award from the U.S. Government. Gilbert was an administrative law judge and enjoyed a number of hobbies, including antiquing, art, fashion and travel. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Edythe Katz Yarchever; children, Aaron (Karen) Ben David of Auburn, Calif., Cantor Regina (Matthew) Heit of Denver, Barry Katz of Las Vegas, and Jeff Katz of Los Angeles; grandchildren, David Heit of Denver and Shachar Ben David of Alameda, Calif. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion Yarchever. A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Congregation Ner Tamid, 55 N. Valle Verde Drive, in Henderson. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Hillside Memorial Park, in Los Angeles.
