Fong, Wing G., 1925-2005

Wing Fong was a distinguished Nevadan, recognized for his philanthropic generosity and business acumen. He was an owner director of Nevada State Bank and a founder of Frontier Fidelity Savings and Loan Association.

Wing Gay Fong was born on August 27, 1925 in China. In 1933, Fong's mother sent him to the United States to live with his uncles when he was in third grade. Graduating Las Vegas High School in 1946, Fong attended Woodbury College in Burbank, California where he met Lilly Ong Hing. The couple married in 1950 and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where they opened a grocery store and undertook several business projects. Wing Gay Fong passed away on May 22, 2005 at the age of 79.
