Ehlen, Tom, 1948-

Description

Tom Ehlen has been passionate about the trumpet from an early age. He discovered his musical roots in his hometown of Kenton, Ohio and pursued that passion throughout his life. He caught his first break as a musician while studying at Ohio State University.

Tom became a career musician, playing with the likes of the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Frank Sinatra, Burt Bacharach, and many others. He had the opportunity to travel across the United States, and later the world, with big name orchestras. He made his home in Las Vegas, playing in the bands of various casinos.

When the culture of live music in casinos declined, Tom found work playing for the Las Vegas Classic Jazz Band at the Gold Coast. He also plays other gigs as they come, recently working for The Producers show at Paris.

Tom and his wife, Marlene, still live in Las Vegas with their two sons.
