Hind, Harold, 1898-1962
Description
Harold Vernon Hind was born in London, England in 1898, the son of Francis and Ruby Hind. The family immigrated to Canada in 1906. After serving in the Canadian military in World War I, Hind immigrated to the United States; by 1924 he was living in Los Angeles, California. After his marriage to Betty Ruann Biggs, the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1942 where Hind became the of managing director of the Hotel Last Frontier and later, a partner in the El Cortez Hotel & Casino. He was also the credit manager and co-owner of the San Souci hotel in 1957.
Hind died in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962.
