Brigham James (B. J.) Lund created B. J. Lund & Co., which was a freighting, general store, and hotel operated out of the railroad town of Modena, Utah. Lund originally established the business with two partners, E. M. Brown and Joe Price, when the three opened a freighting business. In 1903, Lund bought out his two partners and opened general stores in both Modena and Enterprise, Utah. Lund continued to work in the freighting business and hauled items to mining and railroad towns in Utah and Nevada. In addition to being involved with a general store and freighting, B. J. Lund & Co. also operated a hotel in Modena, Utah. In 1905, Brigham James (B. J.) Lund passed away.
