Karen R. Allison is an American national and international championship player of contract bridge, also known simply as bridge. Born July 19, 1941 in New York, Allison learned how to play bridge from an Autobridge device, an instructional board and card set used for self-instruction. She moved to Canada in 1973, where she represented Canada in national and international bridge championships. She moved back to the United States in 1983 and has remained active as a bridge commentator. Allison donated her collection of contract bridge books and magazines to UNLV University Libraries Special Collections and Archives in 2005 to be part of its gaming collection.
