Patricia Becker was born on December 29, 1951 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Becker served as a Deputy and Chief Deputy Attorney General for the Nevada Gaming Division from 1979 to 1983. Becker held several executive positions, including Senior Vice President with Aladdin Gaming and Harrah's Hotel and Casino. She served on the Board of Directors for Cash Systems, Incorporated, Fitzgerald's Gaming Corporation, and Powerhouse Technologies. She served as Nevada Governor Bob Miller's Chief of Staff from 1993 to 1995. In 2004 Becker was the first woman to be inducted as a Counselor into the International Association of Gaming Advisors. She become the organization’s president. Becker was the recipient of the Great Women of Gaming Award. She is the founding member of the American Gaming Association’s Global Gaming Women Initiative. She was the Executive Director and Boyd Distinguished Professor of the UNLV International Gaming Institute from 2005 to 2011. As of 2014 Becker is the President of Patricia Becker and Associates which is a gaming consulting firm that specializes in compliance and regulatory issues.
