Clyde Jackson was the son of Colonel David Howell and Orrie Jackson. He was born on December 22, 1872. He grew up to work in the mining business like his father and was a prominent figure in the Tonopah, Nevada community. He was a charter member of the Mizpah Club in Tonopah. Clyde worked as superintendent for the Tonopah and Great Western Mining Company, Tonopah and California Mining Company, Jim Butler Mine, and the Revert Divide, and was one of McNamara Mining Company's principal owners. He went on frequent business trips to industry offices in California and to mining sites in more rural areas such as Esmeralda County, Nevada; Rhyolite, Nevada; and Mineral Park, Arizona. He passed away on August 30, 1956.
