Neville, Gladys, 1915-

Gladys Neville was born in Crowley, Louisiana in 1915, and was one of eleven children. Neville graduated high school in 1933 and earned her registered nurse certification in 1937. During World War II Neville qualified to join the 24th General Hospital and was deployed overseas to Florence, Italy. During her time in Italy Neville met her husband and the two wed while in Italy. When the couple was transferred back to the United States Neville's husband worked for Bank of America and his worked moved the family to places like Laguna Beach, Salt Lake City, and Idaho Falls. When her children were born Neville stopped working as a nurse and would not return to the profession for the next 20 years. In 1964 Neville and family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and she enrolled in nurse refresher courses. After her courses she was hired full-time at University Medical Center.
