LaComb, Joseph W., 1932-2008

Description

Joseph William LaComb was born on September 1, 1932, in Brasher Falls, New York. Joseph married Betty on June 7, 1952, and they had two children: Spike and Laura. LaComb earned a bachelor of science degree in mining engineering from Montana School of Mines.

LaComb was on active duty in the United States Air Force for four years as a KC-97 pilot. In 1963, LaComb joined the Defense Nuclear Agency and served as engineer and manager of the agency's nuclear weapons effects test program until retiring in 1994. He was also a registered mining engineer for the state of Nevada for many years.
