Tulalip Tribes of Washington

The Tulalip Tribes is a Native American nation with a reservation located on the eastern side of Puget Sound in western Washington. In 1855 the Treaty of Point Elliott created the Tulalip Reservation for the use of the Snohomish, Snoqualmie, Skagit, Suiattle, Samish, Stillaguamish, and other allied bands living in that area. The Indian Reorganization Act of 1934 reorganized the residents of the Tulalip Reservation into the federally recognized Tulalip Tribes. The nation now holds approximately 22,000 acres of land and has a tribal population of around 4,000. The Tulalip Tribes own and operate the Tulalip Resort Casino and the Quil Ceda Creek Casino.
