The main thoroughfare through Austin. The building to the left is The International Hotel, it was first built in Virginia City, NV, and then moved to Austin in 1863. The International Hotel is said to be the oldest hotel in the state of Nevada.

Remains of the Porter Building. It was originally constructed in 1906 and was once the most prominent store in Rhyolite. It was owned by HD and LD Porter (Porter Brothers).
Bill Friedman giving a gaming demonstration. He was a professor for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas' College of Hotel Administration for a decade and then went on to simultaneously be the president of Castaways Hotel and Casino and the Silver Slipper Casino in Las Vegas. Friedman is currently the president of Friedman management Group.
