The alley behind Leonore Aquirre's Hotel, Elko Rooms, located on First Street. The long building on the right was a rooming house, and is now the California Club parking lot. The California Club operated from 1958 to 1973 at 12 E Ogden Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101. The California Club was sold to Steve Wynn in 1973, and was combined into the Golden Nugget shortly thereafter. Margaret Rivero was misidentified in the original description as Margaret Merrujo. This error was pointed out by a family member in 2020.
