Wilner, Robert

Robert Wilner, born Robert Morris was born April 19, 1970 in Encino, California. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when he was six months old. From a young age, he wanted to change his last name to match his adoptive parents’, Martin and Linda, last name. That wish became a reality when he was eighteen when his parents were able to find an attorney. Wilner worked as a realtor alongside his mother.

Martin Wilner was born March 14, 1946 in Los Angeles, California to Leo Wilner, an Executive Director at Temple Beth Sholom. He was raised in California, but earned his doctorate in psychology at the University of Houston, Texas. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1963 and became a counselor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Soon after moving to Las Vegas, Wilner met Linda at a Jewish Singles event. They were married on December 22, 1974 and they adopted a son, Robert, to raise with Linda’s two other kids from a previous marriage.

Linda Wilner was born July 15, 1944 in New York. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1970 to be closer to her family after divorcing her first husband, leaving her a single mother of two children. She met her husband, Martin at a Jewish Singles event. They were married on December 22, 1974 and adopted a son, Robert. She was a real estate agent in one of the most robust housing markets in the country at the time.
