Abstract

The Charles Rozaire Collection on Tule Springs, Nevada (1950-2005) contains photographic slides of various archeological sites across Clark County, Nevada, the majority of which were taken at the Tule Springs archaeological site. The collection also contains Rozaire's files documenting the excavation investigations at Tule Springs which include Rozaire's writings, newspaper clippings, programs, and photocopied articles regarding Tule Springs.

Henderson, Betty, 1923-1985

Betty Henderson was a private music teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada and dedicated member of the Nevada Music Teachers Association. She was born on January 23, 1923 in Portland, Indiana. She wanted to pursue a career in music and enrolled at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, but was forced to drop out after she started to become deaf. She married Charles B. Henderson, a civil engineer, in 1948 and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She had many different jobs in the city including secretary and company auditor.

Oral history interview with Gerry Rojas-Cantres conducted by Barbara Tabach on January 29, 2021 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. Gerry talks of his arrival to Las Vegas after growing up in Puerto Rico. He also discusses his work as both a porter at McCarran Airport and a shop steward for the Culinary Workers Union Local 226.
