Abstract

The Breck Wall Photograph Collection, approximately 1960 to 1980, consists of black-and-white photographic prints depicting comedian and entertainer, Breck Wall, and other cast members of the comedy revue, “Bottom’s Up!” in Las Vegas, Nevada. Images include scenes from sketches performed on the show, group shots of the cast members off-set, and portraits of Wall.

Abstract

The Alan Bible Photograph Collection contains color photographic prints of the Hoover Dam; an aerial of the Colorado River; an Atomic Energy Commission drill rig in Central Nevada; and views of a Nuclear Rocket Development Station (NRDS) facility at the Nevada Test Site between approximately 1970 to 1974. These photographs are captioned and were originally framed and hung in Alan Bible's United States Senate office.

Locations include Ely, McGill, Osceola, and Taylor, Nevada, the Copper Flat Mine near Ely, and the Shellenberger Ranch in White Pine County, Nevada. Also included are images of individuals and groups, mostly unidentified.

The images depict black elected government leaders attending the first Conference of Black Elected Officials held in Washington, D.C. in September 1969. Of particular interest are images of Nevada's first black state legislator, Woodrow Wilson; Georgia state representative, Julian Bond; and President Richard Nixon.

The Station Casinos Menu collection is comprised of digital food and beverage menus (approximately 2016) from hotel casino restaurants owned by the Station Casinos gaming company in Las Vegas, Nevada. Digital menus are from restaurants within Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino and a digitized Food Express Chinese Restaurant menu from Palace Station Hotel & Casino.

The Marian Honeycutt Photograph Collection (1963-1969) is comprised of snapshots taken of famous Las Vegas landmarks in the 1960s. Among the landmarks depicted are: the Golden Nugget, the Golden Slipper, the Desert Inn Hotel, and the Sahara Hotel. Some of the snapshots were taken from the interior of a vehicle.

The Blackstone Edge Studios Collection (1974, 1980-1985) contains one 16mm film of locations around Las Vegas, Nevada produced by Blackstone Edge Studios. Footage was filmed by Philip Clayton-Thompson who is a co-owner, director, and producer for Blackstone Edge Studios. Also included are photographic transparencies and prints of the Primadonna Monorail, constructed by VSL Corporation at the Primadonna Hotel and Casino in Stateline (now Primm), Nevada.

The images depict Vanda at UNLV sporting events, graduation ceremonies, and other campus events. Also included are some images from fellow musicians, entertainers, and producers associated with Vanda.
