Oral history interview with Thomas Nartker conducted by Dr. David Emerson on November 13, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Nartker discusses his careers as a professor of mathematics, a computer scientist for Shell Oil, and a director of the computer center at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. He also discusses starting the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Information Science Research Institute with Dr. Taghva and doing research on optical character recognition for the Department of Energy.

Oral history interview with Dr. Kevin L. Wright conducted by Claytee D. White on July 28, 2021 for African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project.

Dr. Kevin Wright discusses his childhood in Las Vegas and the influential women who have mentored him throughout his life. He talks of his education at the Gilbert Magnet School for Communications & Creative Arts in Las Vegas, his current professional pursuits as a part-time instructor in the College of Education, and his community involvement as a member of both Alpha Phi Omega and the National Service fraternities. Dr. Wright also shares his employment history within University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he previously worked in departments related to residential life, student activities, TRIO Training Institute programs (Talent Search, Upward Bound, and Student Support Service), student affairs, student diversity, and leadership.

Oral history interview with Dr. Mervin R. Iverson conducted by Mary Gipp on April 14, 2003 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Dr. Iverson reflects upon his career as a teacher and administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD) from the 1960s to the 1990s. He describes the process by which he became a teacher and eventually an administrator, his working relationship with teachers and other administrators, and his experiences with school integration. He also discusses his experience working at a high school in Saudi Arabia, and how it compared to working in the United States.
