Scope and Contents

Materials contain more than 5,000 t-shirts left at the "Heroes of 9-11" memorial at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada from 2001 to 2012. Many of the shirts, which came mostly from fire departments and law enforcement agencies around the United States, are damaged or faded due to being exposed to the weather. Many of the shirts have signatures or written prayers from families, friends, and coworkers.
