Oral history interview with Jerry Jackson conducted by Su Kim Chung on February 12, 2015 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Jackson discusses his career as a dancer, choreographer, costume designer, and producer of shows in Las Vegas, Nevada and around the world. Jackson describes dancing at the Desert Inn, Moulin Rouge, Tropicana, and touring with production shows. Oral history interview with Cathie Millson conducted by Anna Huddleston on June 10, 2014 for the West Charleston Neighborhoods: An Oral History Project of Ward 1. In this interview Cathie Millson discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1984 with her husband and one-year-old daughter. She then discusses having two more children, moving into the Rancho Bel Air neighborhood, and about raising her children in Rancho Bel Air. She details the growth of Las Vegas from a small town to a large city and how revitalization of downtown has brought young people back to Rancho Bel Air to raise their families.

Oral history interview with Alex Shoofey conducted by David G. Schwartz on March 13, 2003 for the Remembering Jay Sarno Oral History Project. In this interview, Shoofey discusses his personal history as an orphan in Brooklyn, New York. He describes his experience with casino owner Kirk Kerkorian, opening of the Flamingo Hotel, and the clientele that junkets brought to the Las Vegas, Nevada casinos. Shoofey discusses opening the International Hotel and Casino in 1969 and talks about designing the procedures for operating the casino. Lastly, Shoofey recalls Elvis Presley performing at the International Hotel and selling the property to Hilton a year into its operation.

Oral history interview with Charlene Cox Cruze conducted by Claytee D. White and Karen Schank on August 9, 2010 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Charlene discusses her early ancestors traveling through the area in the 1850s and her grandparents settling in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1905, the year it was founded. She discusses how she is a registered Cherokee, Daughter of the American Revolution, and Daughter of the Utah Pioneers. She discusses her career as a Las Vegas tour guide and of her memories of the evolution of Las Vegas from a small town to a city with casinos owned by corporations.

Oral history interview with Jose F. Lopez conducted by Elizabeth A. Hulin on September 11, 2001 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Lopez reflects upon his 31-year career as a teacher and administrator in Las Vegas, New Mexico from the 1950s to the 1990s. He discusses his educational background, and how needs for bilingual education programs influenced his decision to become a teacher. He then describes the process by which he became principal and superintendent, discusses his regular responsibilities and challenges, and offers suggestions for individuals interested in pursuing school administration.

Oral history interview with Chris Erbe conducted by Jennifer Warner on November 15, 2001 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Erbe reflects upon his more than 20-year career as a teacher and administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD). He discusses the process by which he became a teacher, and describes how his experiences as a teacher shaped his approach to school administration. He describes his regular responsibilities as principal, some of his biggest challenges including safety threats, and what he believes makes an effective administrator.

Oral history interview with Eva G. Simmons conducted by Khary D. Black on May 04, 2004 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Simmons reflects upon her 27 years as an administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD). She describes the process by which she became a teacher and eventually an administrator, and discusses the significance of the Teacher Advisory Committee in the development of her philosophy of school administration. She discusses student ethics, corporal punishment, cultural diversity, and bilingual programs within the school district, in addition to challenges that she faced from public entities and parents.
