Oral history interview with Douglas Peterson conducted by Claytee D. White on March 16, 2018 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Peterson discusses his early life. He recalls getting hired to the Music Department at Nevada Southern University (now University of Nevada, Las Vegas) in 1967. Peterson talks about his career at UNLV, his involvement with the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society, and performances that he directed. Lastly, Peterson discusses the decrease of live music in Las Vegas shows.

Oral history interview with Carl Williams conducted by Claytee D. White and Kelli Luchs on April 20, 2010 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Williams discusses attending the Westside School starting in 1949. He recalls the teachers, staff, and describes the buildings as he remembers them. Lastly, Williams discusses activities held at the Westside School, community activities at the time, and his involvement with various churches.

Oral history interview with Patricia Bearce conducted by Guy Pence on September 29, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Bearce discusses some of the social and developmental changes, including the recreational activities involving swimming, going to theaters, watching stock car races, and attending Helldorado events. She also discusses some of the development of Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Lubertha Johnson conducted by Perry Kaufman on April 17, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Johnson discusses segregation in businesses and throughout Las Vegas, Nevada. Johnson then recalls her involvement with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in 1940 and serving as president in the years 1953 and 1954.

Oral history interview with Janet Adams conducted by Glodene Sawyer on October 13, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Adams (born in Scotland) discusses her move to Las Vegas, Nevada from California with her husband. Adams also briefly discusses early churches, the above-ground atomic testing, President Kennedy’s visit, and her enjoyment in recreational fishing.

Oral history interview with Micheal Miller conducted by Broderick T. Ackerman on April 05, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Miller discusses arriving to Ely, Nevada in the 1920s and later moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in the late 1920s. Miller then discusses the businesses that he invested in and other properties that he purchased throughout his lifetime. Miller speaks about his time working on ranches and as a trapper in Northern Nevada. He also speaks about his time running nightclubs in Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as seeing much growth throughout his time living in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Rosamond McDougal conducted by Concepcion Fernandez on February 14, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, McDougal discusses the history of education in Southern Nevada. She specifically talks about University of Nevada, Las Vegas and her experiences as an educator.
