Oral history interview with Emma Oliver conducted by Jan Marshall on March 19, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Oliver discusses her personal history and the history of Las Vegas, Nevada. Oliver discusses how Las Vegas has changed, casinos in Las Vegas, the Mormon Church, and the race riots at a shopping center in North Las Vegas in 1968. Oral history interview with Timothy Cashman conducted by Claytee D. White and Stefani Evans on January 10, 2017 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Cashman discusses his family background and growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He talks about his family’s car dealership business, the Helldorado Parade, and the establishment of Cashman Field. Cashman remembers purchasing his father’s franchise for Cadillac, buying a Harley Davidson dealership, and his decision to leave the car sales industry. Lastly, Cashman discusses professional sports in Las Vegas, and the importance of community oriented businesses.

Oral history interview with Ron M. Portaro conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee D. White on July 27, 2017 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Portaro speaks about Built-Rite Construction, moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1993, and meeting notable Las Vegas men such as Pastor Paul Goulet Arnie Adamsen, and Charlie Kajkowski. Potaro also discusses how these experiences enabled him to benefit his church, his family, and his adopted community.

Oral history interview with Kenneth Johann conducted by Gloria Banks on March 01, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Johann discusses the origin of his business and early land prices in Southern Nevada. Johann also explains the history of his investments and how land development progressed in Las Vegas, Nevada from the 1950s onward.
