Oral history interview with Steven R. Melugin conducted by R. C. Taliaferro on April 08, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Oral history interview with Lee Martin conducted by Dennis McBride on May 01, 2013 for the Las Vegas Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Archives Oral History Project. In this interview, Martin discusses his involvement with the Nevada Gay Action League and the Pacifica Hotel, an effort to open a gay resort in Las Vegas, Nevada during the mid 1980s. He describes managing Paradise Bookstore, a bookstore for gay literature, in downtown Las Vegas. Lastly, Martin discusses other gay businesses that he was involved with in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Marianne Carpenter conducted by Jim Campbell on March 02, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Carpenter recalls the crash of Carole Lombard’s plane, the early above ground atomic tests, pollution, and other social and environmental occurrences that have taken place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Carpenter also discusses the Helldorado Parade, the Downtown area, and the Mesquite Club. Lastly, she offers an overview of her experience working for Nellis Air Force Base and her job at the Enviornmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Christ, who plays bass, discusses his career in New York City, New York and Las Vegas, Nevada as a jazz musician. Christ also talks about his childhood and growing up in Detroit, Michigan and New York City, New York.

Oral history interview with Tona Siefert conducted by Lisa Becker on February 25, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Siefert discusses her personal history and a comprehensive history of the evolution of Las Vegas, Nevada. Siefert discusses how her father, James Cashman Sr., and her mother met and founded Las Vegas' oldest automobile dealership, education in Las Vegas, and prominent politicians that have represented or visited Nevada, such as Senator Key Pittman and President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Siefert also discusses the establishment of the Helldorado Festival by the Elks Lodge, the construction of Cashman Stadium, development of the Strip in Las Vegas, and other changes that have occurred in the city. Siefert goes on to discuss the founding of the Women of Service League, union protests, and issues with water management in Las Vegas.
