Oral history interview with Peter Bernhard conducted by Claytee D. White on August 05, 2013 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Bernhard discusses his personal history growing up in the Hyde Park neighborhood in Las Vegas, Nevada. He describes recreational activities in downtown Las Vegas, attending Western High School and raising money to construct their football stadium in th 1960s. Bernhard then talks about the gaming industry in Las Vegas and explains how one is put in the “Black Book” of persons banned from casinos. Lastly, he recalls his experiences in casino business in the 1980s, and his role as a board member for the Nevada Gaming Commission.

Oral history interview with Priscilla Alexander conducted by Norman Vallata on 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Alexander was born in Southern California, and in approximately 1952 Alexander relocated to Nevada with her aunt and her uncle who worked in the gambling industry. During the interview Alexander discusses gambling ships in Southern California, early above-ground atomic testing, Nevada’s gambling industry, buffets in the early days on the Las Vegas Strip, and working for Howard Hughes.

Oral history interview with Mabel Newton conducted by Don C. Bittle on February 26, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Newton discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1945. Newton discusses living in Henderson, Nevada. Newton also talks about growth in housing, flooding, and overall changes in Henderson.

Oral history interview with Nancy Master conducted by Claytee D. White on July 14, 2006 and for the UNLV @ 50 Oral history Project. In this interview Nancy Master discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1980 and getting a job at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 1981. She also discusses teaching library skills, history, and political science at UNLV.

Oral history interview with Patricia M. Haack conducted by Claytee D. White on May 21, 2014 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Haack begins by discussing her upbringing in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1940s and 1950s, and what it was like living in the Four Mile community. She continues, describing her education at Las Vegas High School and her career working for First National Bank of Nevada, eventually becoming the vice president of the bank. Haack talks about other aspects of her personal history, such as living in California and the different locations she has lived in Las Vegas. She concludes by discussing her recreational activities and her efforts to start an alumni association for Las Vegas High School graduates.

Oral history interview with Donna Newsom conducted by Claytee D. White on June 11, 2009 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Donna Newsom discusses working as a nurse in the southern United States, at a Girl Scout camp in Colorado, and at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. She also discusses working in real estate in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Oral history interviews with Steven Clarke conducted by Claytee D. White and Stefani Evans on November 17, 2016 and December 08, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In the first interview, Clarke discusses his early life in Winnipeg, Canada. He talks about his early interest in architecture, and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2011. Clarke talks about becoming the director of the Downtown Design Center, future plans for the Historic Westside Community, and his role in the Historic Urban Neighborhood Design Redevelopment plan. In the second interview, Clarke discusses the HUNDRED Plan, a plan for community-led investment in the Historic Westside.
