The James H. Down Sr. Scrapbooks (1933-1979) contain newspaper clippings and political advertisements about his political and civic involvement in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Ronald and Rosemary Thome Collection of Goldfield, Nevada Postcards contains three postcards from around the 1950s to the 1970s depicting Goldfield, Nevada. The postcards portray three paintings of life in Goldfield around the turn of the twentieth century.

The Merle Frehner Map of St. Thomas, Nevada (1981) consists of a hand-drawn map by Frehner of St. Thomas, Nevada who lived there from 1914 to 1932. The town was abandoned in 1933 due to the construction of Hoover Dam and is now beneath the waters of Lake Mead. Also included are instructions to the Geography 135 class at University of Nevada, Las Vegas to reproduce the map, which became a student project.

The Verna Mortensen Papers (1966-1979) document the work of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Clark County chapter to preserve and restore the Las Vegas, Nevada Mormon Fort. The collection contains newspaper clippings, notes, and a grant application for the Mormon Fort. It also includes an undated article about the history of the Las Vegas area and two eulogies given for Verna Mortensen.
