Description

The last woman in the back row on the right, stage name Elizabeth Shelly, real name Elizabeth Jean Woollett (born 1928, died 2014), was identified by her daughter, Rozzy. Rozzy also shared the following information: "In her days, the Bluebell Girls were always covered up with flesh colours and Never called showgirls! as they were ‘classically trained ballet dancers’ and she always emphasised the fact! She had several fittings at the Lido with The costumier Erte of which we have a couple of pics with huge headdress. She was offered to go to Las Vegas but married instead and lived in the Surrey/Sussex countryside with 3 children. She went on to teach ballet and dance to small children, those with disabilities, and Pre-preparing young dancers for their elementary exams."
