In the interview, VanDerMeer discusses his birth in Holland, living in Chicago, Illinois and Southern California, and finally settling in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1926. VanDerMeer also talks about his marriage in Las Vegas and running a dairy and ice house. Other subjects VanDerMeer discuss include the the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, the growth of Las Vegas over time, and the history of Las Vegas from 1926 to 1955.

Oral history interview with Dr. Sandra Carmody conducted by Alyson Jones and Dottie Kulesza on August 3, 2001 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Carmody discusses her personal philosophy of education and how it transformed over the span of her career in education from the late 1960s to 2000. Though the bulk of her career was with the Clark County School District, she discusses general duties and responsibilities of school principals, challenges that administrators face, and her suggestions for successful principalship. She also discusses her family background, growing up in New York before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada to receive teaching certification from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). She then discusses the process by which she began working with the Clark County School District following her certification from UNLV, and how she went from being a teacher to assuming the role of principal.

Oral history interview with Lon Bronson conducted by Barbara Tabach on May 23, 2018 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Bronson discusses his early life in Keene, New Hampshire, and his initial interest in music. Bronson talks about arriving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1985, the musical scene in the city at the time, and the musician’s union strike of 1989. He describes when casino shows switched from live musicians to prerecorded music, and the shortage of jobs for musicians after that decision. Lastly, Bronson discusses the current entertainment scene in Las Vegas.
