Oral history interview with Elodia Muñiz conducted by Maribel Estrada Calderón on February 15, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project.

Elodia Muñiz discusses her early life in Mexico and her immigration to Las Vegas in 1989. She shares her employment history as a guest room attendant at the Frontier Hotel and her strike against the hotel in 1991 when she joined the Culinary Workers Union. Elodia currently works as a Culinary Workers Union Representative.

Oral history interview with Michael Drakulich conducted by Jane Finfrock on May 8, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Drakulich discusses his career after graduating college and holding several teaching and coaching positions at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, including professor, golf coach, and athletic director. He also discusses the growth of the university, important figures in sports coaching at the university, and the growth of Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Lomie Heard conducted by Stephen M. Singer on February 09, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Heard discusses education over the span of thirty years, and includes an overview on the building of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also discusses Nellis Air Force Base, jet airplanes at Nellis, military families, and the Nevada Test Site.

Oral history interview with Alma Vining conducted by Christine Carrera on April 10, 2006 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Vining reflects upon her 30-year career as an elementary school teacher and administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD) from the 1970s to the 2000s. She describes the process by which she became an administrator, her regular responsibilities, and challenges that she faced. She also discusses school district programs such as No Child Left Behind, bilingual education, and school integration.

Oral history interview with Tim Albertson conducted by Suzanne Becker on June 15, 2007 for the Voices of the Historic John S. Park Neighborhood Oral History Project. Tim Albertson discussed how he moved into the John S. Park Neighborhood in 2005. He also talked about when his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1978, including how his mother located her accounting business in the John S. Park area. He recalled when they would shop, go to doctor appointments, and paint houses in that neighborhood when he was in middle school.

Oral history interview with Carmen Mahan conducted by Nathalie Martinez and Barbara Tabach on November 18, 2019 and August 19, 2020 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project.

Carmen discusses her personal history growing up in Barranquilla, Colombia and her professional aspirations in her present work; she is the founder of the Colombian Association of Nevada, a former member of the Professional Latina Women organization in Las Vegas, and has worked with Senator Harry Reid as a representative of the Colombian community related to voting rights and access. Oral history interview with Kay Dwyer conducted by Claytee D. White on August 16, 2000 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Dwyer discusses moving to Henderson, Nevada in 1942 when her father was hired by Basic Magnesium, Incorporated. She also discusses attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, formerly named Nevada Southern University, and having a career as a high school teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada.
