Oral history interview with Irene Cepeda conducted by Monserrath Hernández, Nathalie Martinez, and Rodrigo Vázquez on April 24, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Cepeda discusses her Nicaraguan background and growing up in North Las Vegas, Nevada. She talks about her educational experience, and her involvement with the Latino Youth Leadership Conference (LYLC). Cepeda remembers attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), running for the Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of Trustees, and explains the challenges that CCSD faces. She describes the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 strikes, and issues with funding CCSD schools. Lastly, Cepeda discusses the discrimination that English Language Learners (ELL) students face, and Latinx representation in elected positions.

Oral history interviews with Louise Anna Yoxen conducted by Claytee White on October 08, 2003 and October 15, 2003 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Yoxen begins her interview by discussing how she first arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada to work for the U.S. State Department in the 1950s. She then describes her childhood in Alabama, competing in the Miss America pageant, and her life in Miami, Florida. Yoxen also discusses living in North Africa and Berlin, Germany while working for the State Department as a clerk. She then talks about moving around with her sister and her family, and eventually coming to Las Vegas. She describes what Las Vegas was like in the 1950s. Yoxen ends her interview with a discussion on her family, her husband's work, and their recreational activities.

Oral history interview with Chelsie Campbell conducted by Maribel Estrada Calderón, Laurents Bañuelos-Benítez, and Nathalie Martínez on January 09, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Campbell discusses her family background and growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She talks about her educational experience, her early interest in becoming a lobbyist, and her involvement with the Latin Chamber of Commerce and the Student Organization of Latinos (SOL). Campbell recalls the growth of SOL across Las Vegas, the organization’s efforts with The Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act, and attending the Boyd Law School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Lastly, Campbell discusses the Latino Enrichment Conference (LEC), the Latin Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, and Chicanos Por La Causa Nevada (CPLC).

Oral history interview with George Wallace conducted by Claytee D. White on April 10, 2009 for the All That Jazz Oral History Project. Wallace begins the interview by discussing his upbringing in Atlanta, Georgia, his extensive family, and attending college at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio to study transportation. He describes having a career in advertising in New York City, New York before moving to Los Angeles, California, where he made the career transition into stand-up comedy. Wallace details his career as a successful comedian, writing for The Redd Foxx Show, going on tour with musicians such as Diana Ross and Tom Jones, and having his own running show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Other topics of discussion also include Wallace's friendship with fellow comedian Jerry Seinfeld, being awarded "Best Male Comedian" by the American Comedy Awards in 1995, and the changes Wallace has noticed in comedy and African American culture.

Oral history interviews with Renée Marchant Rampton conducted by Caryll Batt Dziedziak on August 27, 2006, January 25, 2011, and March 03, 2011 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) Las Vegas Women Oral History Project. Rampton begins her interviews discussing her family's migration history. Rampton talks about the influences Mormonism and her mother's feminism had on her life. Rampton then describes moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1959 with her husband. Rampton discusses the musicians union, Musicians' Wives Club, and her work to keep music in the Clark County School District. Lastly, Rampton discusses becoming an elementary school teacher and her efforts to support the Equal Rights Amendment.

Oral history interview with Mary Ward conducted by Irene Rostine on March 14, 2012 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) Las Vegas Women Oral History Project. Ward discusses moving to Nevada in the 1950s with her husband to live closer to his family. She describes living in both Pahrump and Las Vegas, Nevada, and the commute between both cities. Ward then talks about the various places she was employed including the County Commissioner's office and the local telephone company. She also worked as a telephone operator at the Frontier Hotel and Casino, Sands Hotel and Casino, and the Flamingo Hotel. She goes on to talk about the duties telephone operators had, how important the union was for telephone operators because of unfair retribution, lack of stability, and the need for worker's rights. Oral history interview with Freddy Chavez conducted by Marcela Rodriguez Campo, Laurents Bañuelos-Benitez, Maribel Estrada Calderon, and Barbara Tabach on February 7, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Chavez recalls his early life and childhood in Bolivia, where he was born. Chavez talks about why he left his home country and the experiences he had in Brazil. After spending a few years in Brazil, Chavez came to the United States on a student visa to learn English. He discusses his immigration to Florida and his brief marriage. In 2001, Chavez made his way to Las Vegas, Nevada where he founded the Las Vegas Carnaval International, a parade celebrating Mardi Gras and the cultures that celebrate it. Chavez discusses his experience working with parades and his passion for event organizing, as well as his civic engagements.
