Oral history interview with Alfred Isola conducted by Stephen Kalish on March 15, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Isola discusses Las Vegas, Nevada’s lack of a unified garbage system and how dumping sites have had to adjust their practices in order to limit their impact on pollution. Oral history interview with Virgil Barler conducted by Shirley Leavitt on November 19, 2003 for the History of Blue Diamond Village in Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Barler discusses moving to Nevada to work at the Blue Diamond mine and moving from a house to a trailer in the Blue Diamond Village. He shares personal experiences and recollections about his various jobs at the mine, including working in the board factory, as a bulldozer operator, an oiler, and in the shop. He also talks about technological changes at the mine, Blue Diamond Village, and many of the local residents.

Oral history interview with H. Joy Razy conducted by Andrew Gordon on March 17, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Razy discusses the construction of the Boulder (Hoover) Dam as well as the changes in city infrastructure such as water supply and roads. Brandise discusses his experience as a construction worker, a construction business owner, and as a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada for over 25 years. He also discusses changes in the gaming industry over time, specifically how hotels and casinos treat their patrons.

Oral history interview with Mike Mullin conducted by Claytee D. White on September 06, 2019 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Mullin discusses his early life in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1973. He recalls becoming a craps dealer, going into real estate, and establishing his company, Nevada Hand. Mullin talks about his company’s work to provide high-quality homes and supportive services for working families and seniors with fixed incomes. Lastly, Mullin describes the philanthropy behind his company and retiring from Nevada Hand.
