One of the first pictures taken at Carver’s Station, Smoky Valley, Nevada, when it was originally known as Carver’s Rainbow Ranch Bar and Café. Driver of the Las Vegas-Tonopah-Reno Stage Line, which traveled through Tonopah to Winnemucca every other day, is pictured with Dick and Gary Carver.

The Sheree Downs Las Vegas, Nevada Photographs are comprised of photographs Downs took between 1976 and 1995 during visits to Las Vegas, Nevada. The photographs document the evolution of hotel and casino architecture and signage on the Las Vegas Strip and in downtown Las Vegas. Also included are photographs of various tourist attractions in Las Vegas and souvenirs from casinos.
The records contain financial and budgetary information, correspondence, reports, University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus buildings and grounds planning, registrar and academic affairs information and memoranda created by the UNLV Office of the Vice President for Development and University Relations from 1967 to 1983. The records include information about the design and development of the Thomas and Mack Center. Budgets include administrative salaries, biennial budgets, and estimative budgets.
The Alma Hinricksen Photograph Collection on Judy Bayley contains three 8" x 10" black-and-white photographs of Judy Bayley from the 1960s. The collection includes a portrait, Bayley at a public function, and a photograph of U.S. Senator Howard Cannon pinning a ribbon on Bayley.
The Rabbi Bernard Cohen Papers (1957-1984) consist of mainly bulletins for the Las Vegas Jewish Community Center (later known as Temple Beth Sholom). Other materials in this collection include correspondence to and from Rabbi Cohen and certificates of conversion signed by Cohen. The collection also includes a eulogy for Cohen written by Rabbi Wise as well as an advertisement for Cohen's book Sociocultural Changes in American Jewish Life as Reflected in Selected Jewish Literature which was published in 1972.
Oral history interview with Suzie Chenin conducted by Barbara Tabach on September 29, 2015 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. Chenin discusses her father, one of the first Jewish dentists in Las Vegas, Nevada, and moving there when he was stationed at the Nellis Air Force Base. Chenin also talks about her career as a real estate agent and selling advertising for the Las Vegas Sun newspaper.
The Pacifica Hotel Collection (1981-1985) contains newspaper clippings, correspondence, and contracts on the Pacifica Hotel, the first resort geared specifically towards the LGBTQIA+ community in Las Vegas, Nevada. The collection also includes one optical disc with a compilation of Las Vegas television news stories from the summer of 1985 about the Pacifica Hotel project.
The Hughes Aircraft Company Weapons System Publications (approximately 1965-2011) contain brochures, booklets, photographs, and illustrations of the AWG-9/Phoenix Air Superiority Weapon Control System developed by Hughes Aircraft Company Aerospace Systems Division based in California. The collection contains photographs of various aircraft, as well as a Supersonic Naval Ordnance Research Track (SNORT) test at the Naval Ordnance Test Station near China Lake, California.
The Ulvis Alberts Postcard Collection consists of postcards created from photographs taken by Ulvis Alberts between 1968 and 1981. Images depict scenes from the World Series of Poker at Binion's Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as images of various celebrities, actors, and professional musicians. Several of the postcards are autographed by Alberts.
