The cast and crew of a movie, most likely "Black Cyclone", pose for a group photo while viewing film rushes. "Black Cyclone" was filmed at the Home Ranch, Logandale, NV, by Hal Roach Studios. Front row left (on aisle): Director Fred Jackman. Front row right: Kathleen Collins and Guinn "Big Boy" Williams.

Description

The view of Duplex Mine in Searchlight, Nevada. Founded in 1897, Searchlight is an old boomtown that was made popular when George Frederick Colton discovered gold at the location where the town is now built. At the Duplex mine discovered in 1898, a windowed building lies to to left of some machinery used for mining. Transcribed across the bottom of the image: "Duplex Mine, Searchlight, Nev. Original Discovery 1898." The Frasher's Foto logo is printed on the bottom right corner.

Various shops and stores can be seen along either side of the street, along with sign advertisements for Leggett Advertising Co., Sierra Brewing Co., and the Mizpah Hotel. Various automobiles can also be seen either driving down or parked on the flooded street. Included with the image is a hand-drawn map identifying the buildings on the street.
