Oral history interview with Edward Scott conducted by Sallie Van Buren on March 12, 2003 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Scott reflects upon his career as a teacher and administrator in Chicago, Illinois from the 1950s to the 1990s. Oral history interview with Howard E. Nielsen conducted by Adina Elison on March 29, 2003 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Nielsen reflects upon his experience as a teacher and administrator in Utah and Arizona during the 1970s and 1980s. He describes his upbringing and the process by which he became a teacher, principal, and assistant to the superintendent following military service. He describes his approach to teaching and educational leadership, his regular responsibilities, and experience working across grade levels simultaneously.

Oral history interview with Roberta Sabbath conducted by Barbara Tabach on April 27, 2015 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. Sabbath discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in the late 1960s, her involvement with organizing University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ (UNLV) Hillel chapter, and the Hebrew Day School. She also talks about her husband’s, Dennis Sabbath, career as a union attorney, and her career as an UNLV literature professor.

Oral history interview with Sandra Peña conducted by Lada Mead and Stefani Evans on March 27, 2017 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Peña recalls the family move to Porterville, California, and her work with Parson’s Dillingham, a contractor for the Metrolink rail system. She then discusses the link between the Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas, Nevada construction communities. Peña also discusses her ability to gain employment in Las Vegas at Parson’s and her move to Richardson Construction.

Oral history interview with Lorna Kesterson conducted by James M. Greene on October 18, 1974 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Kesterson discusses her work in news editing as well as her original reasons for moving to Southern Nevada. She also discusses teenage social life of Boulder City, Nevada during the 1940s.

Oral history interview with Janet Adams conducted by Glodene Sawyer on October 13, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Adams (born in Scotland) discusses her move to Las Vegas, Nevada from California with her husband. Adams also briefly discusses early churches, the above-ground atomic testing, President Kennedy’s visit, and her enjoyment in recreational fishing.

Oral history interview with Nathan L. Stout conducted by Greg Rowland on February 27, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Stout discusses his involvement in church activities, recreational activities in Las Vegas, Nevada, and explains the Las Vegas economy during World War II. He then talks about the construction of the Red Rooster and Flamingo Hotel. Stout goes on to describe underground atomic testing and the development of casinos on the Las Vegas Strip.
