Members of the Brewington and Pittman families celebrating the golden wedding anniversary of Dr. and Mrs. George F. Brewington (parents of Ida Pittman, wife of Nevada Governor Vail M. Pittman), in the Pittman's home in Ely, Nevada. Seated, L-R: Frances R. Brewington, George F. Brewington, Rose (Farrell) Brewington, Ann E. Brewington. Standing, L-R: Nevada Governor Vail M. Pittman, Ida Louise "Liz" (Brewington) Pittman. Frances Brewington and Ann Brewington, sisters to Ida Pittman, served as a public health nurse in Boulder City, Nevada, and as a teacher of business education at the University of Chicago, respectively.

Mr. And Mrs. S. H. "Barney" Manor with their daughter in the foreground in Millers, Nevada. Handwritten description provided on back of image: "Barney and I and Jo. I am some thing here. Only weigh 98 - but weight 103 again now. Wonderful. Mr. and Mrs. Sh. H. Manor and daughter. Barney' a nickname from Barney Oldfield, because he had such a heavy foot when driving. Barney's real name was Sam Houston Manor. As of 2/20/80 Barney was still living at Hawthorn and Round Mountain, 90 yrs. old. He worked for Tonopah & Goldfield RR-sect(?)hand. Their marriage was a love match. Barney had sandy red hair. He had a slight shake in his hands as I do, and because I had red hair, too, everyone teased that I really was his daughter. This photo probably taken at Millers, Nevada. Quotation and information told to Elizabeth Nelson Patrick, 2/20/80."

Clarence Johnson (left) and "Josephine" Gail Johnson (right) in Millers, Nevada. Handwritten message provided with image: "Dear Nan and Rufe, Will send you some pictures now and next time will write. You will know who this is. Harvey took it about two weeks ago. Jessie and Clarence (Johnson) are here now. He lost his job at Millers and he will get work here if he can. But so far has not. Hayden came with them as his... (card ends). - postcard, L-R: 1) Clarence Johnson; 2) Josephine Gail Johnson." A second handwritten message provided with the image reads: "'Harvey' is Harvey Lohr, Ollie (Howard) Lohr's husband. "Hayden" is Jessie's youngest brother, James Hayden Howard. Mack and Will Foster, uncles of George Byron Foster. Handwritten description provided on a separate piece of paper: "Figures identified in reverse. Should be Mack and Will. Lived at Berlin not far from my home in Tonopah. Brothers very close all their lives. Lived into their 80s. Died within months of each other. Mack the eldest. Both small men. When Mack was in his late sixties or early seventies he went to visit Toxine's (sp?), a house of prostitution, when Tonopah still had a red light district, ca 1952. Mack carried brass knuckles and a sawed off revolver. He was a rough character. Died about 1962. Both miners. Had brother, George, and a sister." The original picture has handwritten inscription that says: "Cuz Bill, Esther Swartz, Gov.". The identified people on the photo are as follows: Nevada Assemblywoman Eileen Brookman (second woman from the left), her husband George Brookman standing behind her, Esther Swartz (first woman on the left) and the 25th Governor of Nevada Richard Bryan. The Great Seal of the State of Nevada can be seen in the background.
