Oral history interview with Ruth Sweet conducted by Bennie Baucham on February 07, 1977 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. Oral history interview with Mary R. Lyles conducted by Lisa Ellis on March 18, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview, Lyles discusses moving to Nevada from California in 1949 and experience of racial discrimination as an African American. Lyles also discusses her religious beliefs, her work as a maid and pantry waitress, and her experiences as a single mother raising eight children.

Oral history interview with George Williams conducted by Alvin F. Lee on March 21, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In his interview, Williams discusses moving to Westside of Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1940s. Williams discusses his experiences living in Las Vegas, Nevada and his experience in the education system as an African American in the 1940s.

Oral history interview with Paul Sogan conducted by Dennis McBride on May 16, 1995 for the Boulder City Library Oral History Project. Sogan opens the interview briefly discussing his childhood and then describes his involvement in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in Nevada during the 1940s. Sogan provides details about the daily activities of CCC members, their living quarters, and his specific projects. He also tells anecdotes about interesting or dangerous projects the CCC members were assigned to work on. Sogan then talks about Boulder City, Nevada. He describes the features of the city including the mines and churches and the CCC members' opinions of the city.

Oral history interview with Joseph Thiriot conducted by Claytee D. White on August 10, 2000 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Thiriot discusses his vivid memories of moving around, including living in Idaho where his father sold an invention that was a forerunner to the typewriter. He also talks about working as a high school teacher.

Oral history interview with Velma Haselton conducted by Catherine Bellver on September 13, 2001 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) Las Vegas Women Oral History Project. Haselton opens her interview describing her childhood and schooling. Haselton then discusses finishing her accounting degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Hasleton talks about her three marriages, her husbands' jobs and her experiences in the various marriages. Haselton goes on to discuss moving back and forth from Nevada to California for her career in accounting. Haselton ends her interview describing why she finally settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, and her work as a CPA at the Kafoury Accounting firm.
