Oral history interview with September Sarno conducted by David Schwartz on October 06, 2007 for the Remembering Jay Sarno Oral History Project. In this interview, Sarno discusses her early life and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of five. She remembers living at her father’s hotels growing up, the lifestyle she was born into, and the final months before the passing of Jay Sarno. Oral history interview with Freddie Sarno conducted by David Schwartz on February 09, 2010 for the Remembering Jay Sarno Oral History Project. In this interview, Sarno discusses his earliest recollections in Las Vegas, Nevada and the lifestyle he had growing up. He talks about the divorce of his parents, living in a Circus Circus Hotel and Casino suite, and the initial planning for The Grandissimo. Lastly, Sarno describes his father’s legacy in Las Vegas and his passing in 1984.

Oral history interview with Kenneth W. Swallow conducted by Cynthia Brannon on March 11, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Swallow discusses his personal history and the history of Southern Nevada. Swallow describes moving to Boulder City, Nevada during the 1940s and his career working for the postal service. Swallow goes on to describe prominent figures who visited the Hoover (Boulder) Dam, his involvement in organizations, recreational activities, and nuclear testing. He concludes by discussing the history of Basic Magnesium Inc. and the city of Henderson, Nevada, and how Boulder City has developed and changed.

Oral history interview with Tom Godbey conducted by James Greene on September 28, 1974 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Godbey discusses how he and his wife were the first couple to build a home in Boulder City, Nevada. He also talks about working for the City Marshall and Water Commission of Silverton, Nevada, and the Mining Nevada Assembly.

Oral history interview with Liermann L. Ousley conducted by Brian Emil on April 29, 1986 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Ousley discusses his career as a lineman, a type of electrician, in California and Nevada. Ousley also discusses how Las Vegas, Nevada has changed since moving there in 1933 and observing the first nuclear weapons test.

Oral history interview with Byron Shutt conducted by Jack Andrews on March 09, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Shutt discusses the history of Henderson, Nevada after moving there from Missouri in 1949. Shutt describes hitchhiking his way to Las Vegas, Nevada from Missouri, meeting Jim Thorpe in Thorpe's Henderson supper club, and the legalization of gambling in Henderson. Shutt also discusses mining operations in Henderson, chemical plants in Henderson such as the Pacific Engineering and Production Company of Nevada plant, housing, and the Henderson school system.

Oral history interview with Kathy Foster conducted by Cheryle Trupp on October 05, 2004 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Foster reflects upon her 30-year career as a teacher and administrator with Montana’s Bozeman Public Schools (BPS) and Nevada’s Clark County School District (CCSD). She discusses the different positions that she has held, and describes the process by which she moved from BPS to CCSD. She reflects upon some of her biggest accomplishments and challenges, offers her opinion on student ethics, violence, and curriculum changes, and describes what she believes makes an effective administrator.
