Oral history interview with Gene Leavitt conducted by his son, Monte Leavitt, on February 28, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Mr. Leavitt talks about his career as a truck and bus driver. He also talks about the life in Southern Nevada, the soldiers stationed here, and gambling. Leavitt also briefly discusses doing drilling work on the Boulder (Hoover) Dam.

Oral history interview with Wilma Noyes conducted by Claytee D. White on April 11, 2007 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Noyes discusses her personal history and life in Las Vegas, Nevada from the 1920s onward. She describes moving to Las Vegas with her family in 1921 after her father got a job working for Union Pacific Railroad Company. Noyes explains how the railroad provided housing to its workers and what life was like in that housing. Noyes discusses attending the first schools in Las Vegas, one of them having had Maude Frazier as its principal. Noyes then describes what young people did for entertainment in Las Vegas, including dancing and going to movie theaters. Lastly, she discusses the history of the casinos and how the city has changed.

Oral history interview with Dorothy Thompson conducted by Patricia Moore on February 18, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Thompson discusses the growth of Las Vegas, Nevada. Thompson also describes her life as the wife of a railroad worker. She briefly discusses religion, specifically Mormonism.

Oral history interview with Nancy Norris conducted by Elizabeth Schwartz on March 11, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Norris discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada where her husband was working for the railroad company. Norris also discusses nursing and what Las Vegas was like during wartime. Lastly, Norris discusses the growth and development of casinos in the city.

Oral history interview with Janet Saxton conducted by Francine Gordon on November 10, 2006 for the Public School Principalship Oral History Project. In this interview, Saxton reflects upon her twenty years as a teacher and administrator with Nevada’s Clark County School District. She discusses the interactions between teachers and principals, and challenges that she faced in fostering relationships with teachers. She then describes her personal approach to school administration, and discusses how her upbringing and experiences shaped that approach.

Oral history interview with William Byrne conducted by Perry Kaufman on April 18, 1972 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Collection. Byrne discusses some of his experiences and responsibilities as the mayor for Henderson, Nevada, the introduction of bars in Henderson, prostitution, and gaming in southern Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Daniel Romano conducted by Claytee D. White on December 10, 2018 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Romano discusses his early life Walnut, California. He talks about his father’s water ski business, moving to Boulder City, Nevada, and attending dinner shows in Las Vegas. Romano recalls his involvement with The Neon Museum, copyright issues with the signs, and the growth of the museum. Lastly, Romano discusses the history behind one of his homes.
