Oral history interview with Mario Berlanga Jr. conducted by Claytee D. White on July 26, 2017 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Berlanga discusses his upbringing in Las Vegas, Nevada and growing up in the Westside community. He discusses his experience working at supermarkets, becoming a supermarket owner, and establishing his business, Mario’s Westside Market. Berlanga talks about supporting the children of the community, working with the local police, and the growth of his business. Lastly, Berlanga discusses the redevelopment of the Westside neighborhood.

Oral history interview with Tom Warden conducted by Claytee D. White on September 29, 2015 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project.. In this interview, Warden discusses his early life in Allen Park, Michigan. He talks about the history of the Summerlin residential community in Clark County, Nevada, the construction of Summerlin Parkway, and the development of infrastructure in that area. Warden describes the planning that goes into creating communities, and describes what the “Summerlin lifestyle” means. Later, Warden talks about the development of Downtown Summerlin, the schools in Summerlin, and serving on the School Community Partnership Council. Lastly, Warden discusses future goals of the Howard Hughes Corporation.

Oral history interview with Esther Horner conducted by Maureen Brannon in approximately 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Horner discusses the inaugural Helldorado Parade, her family’s establishment of B & H Grocery in Las Vegas, Nevada, atomic tests, presidential visits, social clubs, and the tragic death of actress Carole Lombard in a plane crash in Nevada. Horner also offers insight into religious life, the red-light districts, including the infamous Block 16, racial segregation, and gambling in the early days in Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Irving Kirshbaum conducted by Cheryl Rogers on February 23, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Kirshbaum discusses the Riviera Hotel where he began working in 1955. He also talks about the landscape of the Las Vegas Strip in the 1950s, and the state of gambling, comps, customer service, and dealer training. Kirshabum discusses the treatment of minorities at the Riviera and in Las Vegas, Nevada generally.

Oral history interview with John Gallagher conducted by Patrick W. Carlton on May 31, 2002 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Gallagher discusses his career in higher education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) as an educator and an administrator. Gallagher also describes his membership in the Las Vegas, Nevada chapter of the Rotary Club and that organization's relationship with UNLV. He concludes the interview by drawing distinctions between Las Vegas and cities of the Pacific Northwest.

Oral history interview with Sandy Daly conducted by Bud Stephen on June 20, 1972 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project. Daly moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1947 and she describes her educational experiences and how the gaming industry related to her upbringing. Stephen also asks questions relating to politics, religion, social club membership, theater, recreational activities for children and adults, atomic testing, tourism, local sports, television, prostitution, social class, and the development of the Strip. Oral history interview with Thomas McDonald conducted by Ted Papatheodorou on July 05, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, McDonald describes his experiences running a newspaper and a restaurant in Chicago, Illinois before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada to work as a manager at the Stardust Hotel and Casino. McDonald shares several short anecdotes, such as being thrown off of a freight train in 1915 in early Las Vegas, or serving then-Senator Lyndon B. Johnson at his restaurant in Chicago.
