Palace Hotel, Goldfield, Nevada, September 14, 1905. There is an inscription on the back of the image: "Palace Hotel on the corner of Main and Crook, decorated for the Railroad Days celebration. Arrival of the Goldfield Railroad was a milestone in the camp's history. Later merged with the Tonopah Railroad to form the T. & G. R.R., it was the first of 4 railroads to serve Goldfield." There is a date stamp: February 1980.
The Hank Harrison Photograph Collection on Helldorado Days contains two black-and-white photographs of the Helldorado Days festival in Las Vegas, Nevada from approximately 1940 to 1977. The first photograph depicts a rodeo clown distracting a bull; the second photograph is of Ned Romero, an actor in Helldorado.
The Houssels Photograph Collection contains color and black-and-white photographs and slides of the Houssels House from 1983. The photographs document the house's original location on Sixth Street in Las Vegas, Nevada, and its subsequent transportation to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus.
The Alice Brown Photograph Collection (approximately 1920-1950) consists of black-and-white and color postcards and photographic prints, with some corresponding negatives and slides. Frasher's Fotos, a Pomona, California business, printed the majority of the postcards that illustrate locations in and around Rhyolite, Nevada and Death Valley, California.
