Oral history interview with Mildred Bardy conducted by Deborah Grant on March 11, 1981 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview Bardy discusses the famous celebrities who would come to purchase clothing at the specialty clothing department store where she worked, as well as the costumes that were made there for the Helldorado Parade. Bardy also discuss some of the changes in Las Vegas over time, particularly the changes in fashion styles.

Maestas discusses the forms of entertainment in Henderson, Nevada; Catholicism at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Henderson in the 1960s and 1970s, and the Latinos United for Perfect Equality (LUPE) social club. He also considers the tension between “Chicanos” and Mexican-Americans.

Oral history interview with Juanita Rice conducted by Bob Hulbert on March 17, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Rice recounts her personal history in Las Vegas, Nevada after moving there in 1942 with her ex-husband, who worked at the Basic Magnesium Plant in Henderson. Rice also discusses the construction of the I-15 interstate.
