Dye, Ann G., 1939-

Ann G. Dye was born on February 5, 1939 in Ely, Nevada. Ann married Richard J. Dye on August 7, 1980.

Dye was employed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and Reynolds Electrical & Engineering Companty (REECo) as a program manager from 1961 to 1991.

Dye was also employed as a secretary for Federal Services, Inc.

Sowder, Elmer Jesse

Elmer Jesse Sowder was born on January 4, 1923, in Amarillo, Texas. Elmer married Jeanie on February 14, 1996, and they had four children: Carol, Cheryl, Kerry, and Kay.

Sowder attended Texas A & M College and was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.

Sowder worked as a test director for the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in affiliation with the Nevada Test Site.

Hopkins, John C. (1933)

John Chapman Hopkins was born on June 30, 1933 in Palo Alto, California. John married V. Adele on June 14, 1954 and had two children: Anna Adele an Barbara Ellen.

Hopkin was a scientist and test director as the J-division leader for the Nevada Test Site. In 1955 and 1956, Hopkins was a Los Alamos summer student.

Hopkins obtained a doctor of philosophy degree in physics from the University of Washington in 1960.

From 1960 to 1993 Hopkins was employed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).

Krenzien, Lawrence Frerric

Lawrence Frerric Krenzien was born on September 14, 1933 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Lawrence married Marjorie on August 28, 19559 and they had two children: Kevin Roland and Brian Lars.

Krenzien has a bachelor of science degree in physics from the University of Wisconsin.

Krenzien waorked at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory from 1955 to 1963. Then Krienzien worked on the North American Aviation Apollo Project from 1963 to 1964. Krenzien worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) from 1964 to 1993.

Grier, Dorothy Jean

Dorothy Jeaan Grier (née Whitcomb) was born October 4, 1922 in Hayden, Indiana. Dorothy married Herbert E. Grier on September 5, 1954. Herbert had two children from a previous relationship, Joan Arnold and Herbert Grier III. Together they had their son David L. Grier.

Grier has a bachelor of arts degree in English and philosophy.

During World War II, Grier was a secretary for the Air Inspector at the United States Air Force.

Abstract

The Yucca Mountain Site Characterization Office collection (1958-2001) was assembled through a joint effort between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the James R. Dickinson Library, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) to provide public access to documentation and correspondence about the proposed high-level radioactive waste geologic repository site near Yucca Mountain, Nevada. Materials include technical reports, contractor reports, public hearing transcripts, safety evaluation reports, environmental impact statements, emergency plans, inspection reports, licensee event reports, and general communications. The collection includes documents from several other government entities such as the Yucca Mountain Site Characterization Office, Department of Energy, Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management (OCRWM), Nevada Nuclear Waste Storage Investigations (NNWSI), United States Geological Survey (USGS), Sandia National Laboratories, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Mayer, William John

William John Mayer was born on December 29, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. William was married twice: his first wife Lorrainer passed away. His second marriage was to Frankie Louise on September 1, 1984. William had one child: Raynette Ann Mayer.

Mayer was enlisted in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954.

Mayer obtained a Bachelor of Electrica Engineering degree from Marquette University in 1960. Mayer then obtained a master of science degree from Colombia Pacific in 1993.

David Browning Thomson was born on October 5, 1927, in Irving, Kansas. David married Patricia Ann on December 27, 1953, and they have three children: Debra Ann Beeson, Barbara Kay Emery, and David Browning Thomson II.

Thomson obtained a bachelor of science degree in physics, a master of science degree in physics, and a doctor of philosophy degree in physics from the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, Kansas.
