There are two pictures together: the first one is titled, "Pouring the first concrete in Boulder Dam June 1933" and the second image is titled, "Spreading the first concrete in Boulder Dam June 6, 1933." Site Name: Hoover Dam (dam)
A colored postcard showing an artist's representation of The Babcock and Wilcox Pipe Plant next the construction site of Boulder Dam, a title that would later be changed to Hoover Dam. Because the penstock pipes at Hoover Dam were too large to be carried over railroads, this plant was built to fabricate the largest penstock pipes in the world. Transcribed onto the top border of the image: "The Babcock & Wilcox Pipe Plant, Boulder Dam."
Black and white photographic image of the view from the top of Hoover (Boulder) Dam. Automobiles can be seen parked along the curb and driving on the street. "On top of Boulder Dam" is written on the front of the postcard.
