Hampton, Bob, 1920-1994

Real estate developer and entrepreneur William Robert "Bob" Hampton was the mayor of Henderson,

Nevada from 1965 to 1969. He also served as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Southern Nevada

Regional Housing Authority. He also was part owner of Taylor Steel Company, which participated in

several major construction projects in Southern Nevada, including the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Olson, Vernon C.

Vernon C. Olson served as an accountant for Howard Hughes. He began working for Hughes in Culver City, California, but moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1973 to help manage Hughes's hotels. He served as Senior Vice President for the Hughes Corporation and later on the Board of Directors for the Summa Corporation. He retired after working for Hughes for 46 years. Olson had three children with his wife JoAnn. He passed away in Henderson, Nevada on May 30, 2012.

Earl, Samuel S., 1912-1999

Sam S. Earl was born February 9, 1912 in Virgin, Utah. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1928 for a few months, then returned home in Utah. He returned to southern Nevada in 1935 to work during the Hoover (Boulder) Dam days. Earl and his wife lived in a tent until he built a little two-room house for his young family to reside. Earl ended up moving to various cities around southern Nevada until 1945 when he moved to Henderson, Nevada. His career was filled with working as a building contractor, truck driver, and painter. Earl passed away January 4, 1997.
