Description

Onlookers watching the Lincoln County High School marching band perform in the the Helldorado parade on Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada. On the left side of the street, from left to right, marquees can be seen for the Boulder Club, Joe W. Brown's Horseshoe Club, Fremont Casino, and Fremont Carnival Rm. In the foreground on the right side of the road is a portion of the marquee for the Lucky Strike Club.

Description

Construction of an office building on Fremont Street, west of 4th Street, in Las Vegas, Nevada. A sign outside of the site reads: "Professional Building. Desirable office for rent. Janitor service. See owner Carl Ray. Boulder Lumber & Supply Co., 406 South 2nd, Phone 324." Another sign says that wiring is by Bruce Bros.

The caption on the photo sleeve reads "Kramer home on Fremont, 1910 Jack Kramer became the tennis czar. The preachers family didn't accept the offer of a burro." Many of the burros are packing supplies. Three dogs are visible playing among the burros. Electric lines are visible in the background. Photo identification was provided by Donald S. Palmer.

The 20-mule team makes it's way along the parade route on Fremont Street, May, 1954. The mules team is passing by the Traveler's Hotel Court (1100 E. Fremont Street), and the Lucky Motel (1111 E. Fremont Street) can be seen in the background. A man on horseback rides alongside the mule team. The original film is damaged.
