Jackie Abell (b. 1924) discusses her experiences growing up in Virginia City, Reno, and Overton, Nevada. She specifically discusses her experiences growing up on a ranch, railroading, above ground atomic testing, flooding, and wild animals.

Oral history interview with Theresa Brickley and Elizabeth Burkey conducted by Andres Moses on January 27, 2006 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Brickley and Burkey discuss their childhoods in Tokyo, Japan and New York respectively and meeting as performers in the Sun City Dance Company. They also discuss performing in casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada, and teaching tap and jazz dancing for the dance company.

Oral history interview with Della Coates conducted by Bill Hitchcock on March 18, 1978 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Coates discusses public services, atomic testing, Nellis Air Force Base, the education system, military life, the difference in wages between careers, and wage changes. She also describes her time working for the telephone company.

In his interview Houck discusses his childhood growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1950s. He additionally discusses his job working for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a motorcycle patrol officer.

Oral history interview with Alfred Isola conducted by Stephen Kalish on March 15, 1976 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Isola discusses Las Vegas, Nevada’s lack of a unified garbage system and how dumping sites have had to adjust their practices in order to limit their impact on pollution. Isola also explains the different disposal protocols for wet and dry trash.
