Eydie Gormé, née Edith Gormezano, was born August 1, 1928 in the Bronx, New York City. She passed away in Las Vegas in 2013 at the age of 84.

Eydie’s parents were Sephardic Jewish Immigrants from Turkey. She graduated from William Howard Taft High School in 1946 where she was the swing bands lead female vocalist. While attending college, Eydie used her fluency in Spanish as interpreter with the United Nations. She also sang in bands during her free time. She had a gift for both Spanish and singing.

Russell K. Grater was born in Lebanon, Indiana.

Augustus Bertrand "Gus" Greenbaum (1894-1958) was a Las Vegas, Nevada casino executive with ties to organized crime. A longtime associate of Meyer Lansky, Greenbaum moved to Las Vegas in the early 1940s as an investor in the El Cortez and the race wire. In 1946, he became involved in the Flamingo, and after the June 1947 murder of Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, he assumed control of the property along with Morris Rosen and Moe Sedway. Greenbaum turned Siegel's financial losses into a $4 million profit within a year.

Dorothy Jeaan Grier (née Whitcomb) was born October 4, 1922 in Hayden, Indiana. Dorothy married Herbert E. Grier on September 5, 1954. Herbert had two children from a previous relationship, Joan Arnold and Herbert Grier III. Together they had their son David L. Grier.

Grier has a bachelor of arts degree in English and philosophy.

During World War II, Grier was a secretary for the Air Inspector at the United States Air Force.
