Chris Bianchi comes from Peru, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in hotel administration with a concentration in casino management and received his master's in hospitality administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2015. Chris did an internship at the Barbary Coast Hotel & Casino in 2002 as a dealer and was transferred to the South Point Casino and Spa as a pit manager in 2005.

Description

Ed Walters was a pool and card hustler in New York City when he was in his 20s. He was asked by a major crime boss in 1959 to go to Las Vegas to find out if a card dealer was cheating. Ed did figure out he was cheating, so the crime boss got him a job learning the Western card games at the Fremont during the day and being a pit boss at the Sands at night. He worked at the Sands until 1967 and then at various other casinos until approximately 1981.

Interviewed by David Schwartz. Christina Gentile was born in Colorado and her family moved to California when she was a year old. After her parents divorced, her father moved to Carson City, Nevada. Christina worked in the Hotel Nevada in Ely and became a dealer there. She moved to Las Vegas and worked as a dealer at the King 8 Hotel. It was sold to Station Casinos and became the Wild Wild West Hotel and Casino, and she got into management there. Christina also worked as a table games manager at Boulder Station, Red Rocks Casino, and at the Wynn Las Vegas. Interviewed by David Schwartz. Elliott Schecter got a job dealing poker at a private club in New York City to earn spending money while he was a student at Rutgers. He worked as a dealer on a casino cruise ship, then became the shift manager in the poker room at the Seminole Casino Hollywood in Florida when it opened. Elliott also worked on the Palm Beach Princess casino cruise ship, at the Reno Hilton, here in Las Vegas at the Palms, at the Downstream Casino Resort in Oklahoma, and was working at the Snoqualmie Casino in the Seattle area at the time of the interview. Interviewed by David Schwartz. Russell Terbeek born in Cleveland in 1956. He was going to be a sound tech or a lighting tech for bands after college, but his contact person for that industry disappeared. His uncle was a bell captain at Circus Circus, so he told Russell about their dealer program, and Russell came to Las Vegas to be in it. Russell worked for Circus Circus in various properties in Las Vegas and Laughlin for fifteen years. After he went to the Edgewater in Laughlin, he became back-up shift boss. At the Rio he was the table games division training manager. Russell also worked at the Treasure Island, Harrah's, and the Sahara. He helped open New York-New York in 1997. At one point he moved in with a woman who lived in Rancho Cucamonga, so he helped open the Pala Casino and worked as shift manager there and as table games manager at the Soboba Casino. Russell also worked at Harrah's Kansas City and Harrah's North Kansas City. At the time of the interview, he worked at Arizona Charlie's Boulder Casino. Interviewed by David Schwartz. Clifford Conedy played on the football team at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, beginning in 1973. The university got him a job working security as part of the youth patrol at Circus Circus Hotel-Casino. He lived in Washington State and came back to Las Vegas in 1977 and worked security for the Fremont Hotel and Casino and for the Stardust. He became a dealer for the Fremont and also worked for Little Caesars Casino, the Mint Hotel and Casino, El Rancho, the Imperial Palace, the MGM Grand, the Flamingo Hilton, and Casesars Palace. Interviewed by David Schwartz. Jimmy Wike's family moved to Las Vegas in 1958 when he was nine years old. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Jimmy started as a dealer at the Las Vegas Club and was also a dealer at the Fremont Hotel and Casino, at the Stardust, and at the MGM Grand that later became Bally's. He was a supervisor at Bally's and also taught in a dealers' school while he worked there, he became a pit manager, and ended up a vice president.
